"We ask that Pablo Villavicencio Calderon, holder of a NYC Municipal ID card, whose application is pending for a Green Card, be allowed to remain in the U.S. which has been his home for the past 10 years, so that he can be with his wife (who is a U.S.citizen) and his two young daughters (who are both U.S. citizens).

We ask that this law-abiding, hardworking man be freed as a demonstration that this country has not forgotten its roots - being a refuge for people from around the world who believe in democracy.

While he does not have a piece of paper permitting him to enter this land or remain here - he has provided something far more compelling - ten years of decent living and love of his American family."
