Trucker on 25th & 4th: Dangerous Neighbor
As a community, Sunset Park relies on neighbors to work together for the benefit of the entire neighborhood. But when one neighbor takes advantage - breaking the law, and creating an extreme danger - they are an AWFUL neighbor and must be stopped.
A trucker on 25th & 4th Avenue actually stops traffic on our busy 4th Avenue - even during rush hour and directs 18 wheeler delivery vehicles to make an illegal turn onto 25th Street in the wrong direction going west on the one way east street.
This has got to stop and the trucker must apologize publicly for this disgusting abuse. Just a day earlier than this was photographed an elderly woman was killed crossing this intersection.
While this illegal maneuver was being done an emergency vehicle was flashing its lights and blaring its siren and the truck driver ignored it and the vehicle remained grid locked unable to get to the scene of the emergency.

 This ambulance on its way to an emergency was trapped in grid-locked traffic until the truck completed its illegal turn. |  |
